Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop: Embroidery Floss

I've been using PTI products for awhile, but this is my first PTI Blog Hop. I'm so happy to be finally playing along! :) And I can't wait to hop through and see all of your projects!

This month's challenge was to use embroidery floss on our projects (the details are here).

I recently got my new PTI order and this project uses the new stamps I got from the new release. I love the new PTI mini envelope die. It would be great if they also released one for a gift card too (PTI are you listening?) :)

So for the Blog Hop project I thought I'd decorate one of the new mini envelopes. I stamped one of the new mini tags to look almost like a thought bubble coming from the bird. I stamped it on the CS then stamped on a tag diecut and raised it on a pop dot, then added some aqua mist colored floss.

I stamped the back of the envelope with the airmail border stamp from Postmarks.

By the way, I also recently got these new goodies in the mail. It's a Sew Easy kit which is great to use for hand stitching with floss on cards. This kit is used for impressing dotted patterns into your paper to act as a guide for your stitching. It's been a lot of fun to try them out!

I used one of the Sew Easy patterns to stitch an airmail border to the inside mini card that I made so it would coordinate.

Here's a closeup of the mini card. I left just enough room to write out a small personalized message. I attached another piece of CS to hide the back of the stitching.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoy the hop. I will be hopping along to see everything that you all make. :) Have a sunny day!

All supplies are PTI unless otherwise listed.

Stamps: Tiny Tags, Label Basics, Postmarks, Tag It #1, Tag It #2
Paper: SS white
Ink: Red Magic, Sea Breeze, Mango Madness (Versamagic)
Other: Mini envelope die, Tiny Tags die, aqua floss, red floss

Great set! Love how you created the matching envelope and had your floss on the front resemble the stamping on the back of the envelope. TFS!

Love your little card & envie--so adorable! And adding the stitched border is a great touch. I'm glad to hear that you used the Sew Easy. It is something I am considering but wondered if you have any trouble with it punching through cardstock.

Cute cards! I've been wondering if I would like those little tags and the more I see them the more I think I need them. Thanks for sharing the sew easy kit. Looks like that would be fun for all kinds of projects!

Monica......You made such an adorable little note card and envelope! I just love it! I'm so sorry that I didn't order that envelope die.

If you think about it and have time, will you post more about your Sew Easy goodies. I've been wanting to take the leap, but haven't seen many opinions on it. Thanks so much!

Well isn't this too cute? I love how the tag does look like one of those talking bubbles coming out of the bird's mouth :) And what a great idea about the gift card envelope...I second that!

Nice project. I like your airmail concept and your embroidered border! I have to say, I like to create my envelopes as much as I like to create my cards! :)

Oh my gosh! This ensemble is too cute! I can't get over how cute it is, in fact. My mailman needs to get a wriggle on really as I need my PTI goodies. What part of Poste Haste doesnt he understand? Stellar job with the floss. It's so effective. Brava!

These are super duper cute blog hop cards. Loves the floss airmail strip and the color combo you used.

Sorry for the delay in posting a comment; I'm still hopping through the creations. This is my first blog hop, too, Monica. This gift card set - as in card to go into a gift, not an iTunes card with money on it to be the gift - is cuteness personified. Love the great colors you combined.
